Getting Started
If you are new to Pilates or have recently taken time out from your regular Pilates practice to recover from an injury or illness, then a one-to-one introduction to Plates is essential before joining a matwork, Reformer or studio Pilates gym session. You will work on an individual basis with your instructor and we will teach the basic Pilates principles of breathing, centre, alignment, control and flowing movement, the preliminary exercises and familiarise you with the equipment and small props. You will also complete a medical questionnaire and have the opportunity to discus any special considerations you may have for your wellness.
Once you have competed an introduction you can join a matwork, Reformer and studio Pilates gym session and we will help select the best one for your needs and goals. You may prefer to continue with a series of one-to-one sessions to achieve your goals or to bring you up to speed before joining a group class; either way we are here to help you get the best from your Pilates practice.
If you have practised Pilates before, feeling confident and ready to go, then all you need to do is complete an enrolment form on your first visit to the studio. Best to arrive a few minutes early to complete your form. Please note that sessions have limited places and you will need to let us know you’re coming and book your class in advance to avoid disappointment. If you have a session at a regular time you would like to join, it is recommended to make a block booking and reserve your slot in advance and take advantage of our monthly special offers and discounts on your purchases.
